GENERAL INFORMATION
Philosophical conferences in Bled (Slovenia) were initiated in 1993, on the suggestion by John Biro and Matjaž Potrč as a continuation of the (for some time interrupted) IUC – Dubrovnik postgraduate course in philosophy. But they soon started a life of their own, and with the help of American co-organizers, the first week of June in Bled remains traditionally reserved for a conference dedicated to various topics in the field of analytical philosophy.
The topic of the 27th conference, June 3rd through June 7th, 2019 is:
Social Epistemology and the Politics of Knowing
The 2018 conference is organized by Sarah Wright (University of Georgia) and Smiljana Gartner (University of Maribor, Slovenia) with the collaboration of Matjaz Potrc of the University of Ljubljana, Nenad Miscevic and Danilo Suster of the University of Maribor. The conference is included in the program of the activities of the Slovenian Society for Analytic Philosophy and organized with the help of the Department of philosophy, University of Maribor.
